Accommodation for 6 persons right on the beach at Oppisand (On-the-sand) in Stilbaai West. Snugly nestled between two larger houses, sits this narrow two storey property with the patch of lawn in front. A friendly, inviting, welcoming and also very coveted place to stay, promising holidaymakers a terrific time.

When the tide is high, the water often reaches the edge of the property. Alternatively, when the tide is low, you can see the remnants of fish traps built by ancient residents of the Stilbaai area. From Oppisand you can watch the movement of boats, anglers, as well as surfers enjoying the famous Stilbaai breakers.

Accommodation for 6 Persons

Oppisand, sleeping 6, comes in the form of a long, thin two storey house right on the western blue flag beach in Stilbaai.

Entrance to the top level is by way of a steep, narrow staircase sporting a little gate at the top, as well as the bottom for the safety of small kids.

In addition, for your convenience and safety it is fitted with a light that automatically switches on when it senses motion.

On the outside, next to the front door, also for your convenience, you’ll find a shower where you can get rid of sand before entering the house.

Ground Level

Entrance to the house is by means of the large sea facing folding glass sliding door, or else the side door on the left from the street.

Bathroom #1

Upon entering through the side door, you’ll find a small bathroom with a shower, toilet, basin, as well as a washing machine behind the shower.

To the right is a large room containing items you may want to use, such as the iron and ironing board, also beach umbrellas, tumble dryer, etc.

Next to the bathroom to the left there is a staircase to the upper level.

Kitchen-dining-living area

Walk past the steps and you enter the long, narrow open-plan kitchen-dining-living area ending with the folding glass sliding door and unimpeded view of the ocean.

This area contains an indoor built-in braai, TV offering DStv Premium, DVD player, fibre internet access (password on shelf), as well as a number of puzzles and board games. In the vicinity of the braai you’ll find a walking stick along with a pair of binoculars.

Also ample comfortable seating, a dining table with chairs as well as a fully equipped kitchen with, among others, a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, microwave, etc.

Upper Level

Bedrooms (sleeping 6)

Climb the blue, white and red steps to the top level, turn left and there you’ll find 3 bedrooms. Each room comes with a double bed, reading lamps and cupboards. The front room has a glass sliding door opening onto a balcony offering a glorious view across the ocean.

There is one shared bathroom on the upper level coming with a bath, toilet, basin as well as a mirror. Bath towels are supplied, but guests should bring their own beach towels, please.

Akkommodasie vir 6 mense reg op die strand by Oppisand in Stilbaai-wes. Knus genestel tussen twee groter huise, sit hierdie smal tweeverdieping eiendom met so ‘n klein lappie gras by die voordeur. ‘n Vriendelike, uitnodigende, verwelkomende en ook veel begeerde blyplek waar vakansiegangers ‘n baie lekker tyd kan hê

Met hoogwater stoot sommige branders dikwels tot teen die rand van die erf. Tydens laagwater kan mens die oorblysels sien van die visvywers wat die antieke inwoners van die Stilbaai-area gebou het. Van Oppisand af kan jy die bewegings van bote, hengelaars, en so ook ryers van die beroemde Stilbaai-branders dophou.

Akkommodasie vir 6 Mense

Oppisand (slaap 6) kom in die vorm van ‘n lang, smal tweeverdieping huis reg op die westelike blouvlagstrand in Stilbaai.

Toegang tot die boonste vlak is d.m.v. ‘n nou en steil houttrap met ‘n klein hekkie aan die onderste punt en so ook bo, terwille van die veiligheid van klein mensies.

Verder is dit toegerus met ‘n lig vir jou gerief en veiligheid deurdat dit outomaties aanskakel wanneer dit beweging optel.

Buitekant langs die voordeur, ook vir jou gerief, sal jy ‘n stort vind, so jy kan die sand van jou lyf en voete afspoel voordat jy in die huis ingaan.

Grondvlak

Toegang tot die huis is d.m.v. die groot opvou glasskuifdeur aan die seekant, of d.m.v. ‘n sydeur aan die linkerkant van die straat se kant af.

Badkamer #1

As jy by die sydeur inkom, is daar ‘n klein badkamertjie met ‘n stort, toilet, wasbak en so ook ‘n wasmasjien effe weggesteek agter die stort.

Regs van die badkamer is ‘n groot vertrek waarin items is wat gebruik kan word, soos die yster en strykplank, sonsambrele, tuimeldroër, en so meer.

Links van die badkamer is die trappe na die boonste vlak.

Kombuis-eet-leefruimte

Stap verby die trappe en jy is in die lang, smal oopplan kombuis-eet-sitgedeelte wat eindig met die groot opvou glasskuifdeure en ongehinderde uitsig oor die see.

Daar is ‘n ingeboude binnebraai, TV met DStv Premium, DVD-speler, vesel internettoegang, (wagwoord geplak op die rakkie waarop die TV staan) en ook so ‘n paar bordspeletjies en legkaarte. In die omgewing van die ingeboude braai hang ‘n verkyker en net so neffens dit, leun ‘n kierie teen die muur wat gaste kan gebruik.

Verder is daar heelwat gemaklike sitplek, ‘n eettafel met stoele en ‘n goedtoegeruste kombuis met items soos ‘n yskas-vrieskas, skottelgoedwasser, mikrogolfoond, en so meer.

Boonste Vlak

Slaapkamers (slaap 6)

Klim op met die blou, wit en rooi trappies na die boonste vlak, draai links en jy vind 3 slaapvertrekke, elk met ‘n dubbelbed, bedlampies, en kaste. Linne en ander beddegoed word voorsien.

Die voorste kamer met sy wonderlike uitsig op die see, het ‘n glasskuifdeur wat oopmaak op ‘n balkon waarvandaan jy nog verder oor die see kan kyk.

Badkamer #2

Daar is een badkamer op die boonste vlak na regs van die trappe af, so gaste deel hierdie badkamer. Dit kom met ‘n bad, wasbak, toilet en spieël. Badhanddoeke word voorsien, maar gaste word versoek om asseblief hulle eie swemhanddoeke te bring.
