Abansi Beach House Stilbaai

This self-catering holiday home is located in Still Bay East, in the Western Cape. Abansi Beach House has two levels that are rented out separately and is a beach-front property with uninterrupted sea views. The area is known for the Geelkrans Nature Reserve hiking route. Whale watching, birding, swimming, surfing as well as fishing are all popular activities in this popular coastal area. The well-known Lappiesbaai blue flag beach and safe swimming as well as surfing spot is only a few steps away.

The house offers a double garage which, of course means that if you rent the house as a whole, you have the use of both garages. Should you be renting only one level, you get to use only one garage. The backyard is enclosed with gates on both sides of the house offering some privacy, especially when using the outdoor braai area.

Accommodation at Abansi Beach House Still Bay

A large family/group can rent this well-placed double storey holiday house as a whole, or else two separate families can rent only one unit or level.

The Upper Level:

This self-catering holiday house can sleep 6 – 8 guests (6 adults and 2 children) in 3 bedrooms, each with bed lamps and cupboards. The main bedroom offers a double bed, dressing table as well as an en-suite bathroom. One side has a huge glass window/sliding door which opens onto the balcony offering superb views of the sea. The second bedroom has 2 single beds (or made up together as a queen bed) and the third bedroom has two single beds as well as a stack bed. These two rooms share a bathroom with a bath, shower and basin and there is also a separate toilet with small basin.

The lounge area comes with comfortable chairs and couches, a fireplace and a flat screen TV. (DStv is available and connected free of charge.) A young child can sleep on the leather couch. This room also opens onto the balcony with garden furniture offering blissful views of the sea and the breath-taking Still Bay sunsets over the sea. Op the top of the staircase is a safety gate for the protection of young children.

A dining area with a large table and built-in braai also opens onto the balcony overlooking the sea. The self-catering kitchen comes with a fridge, deep freezer, electric stove with oven and extractor fan as well as a microwave oven. Also a kettle, coffee maker, toaster, crockery, cutlery, cooking as well as braai utensils, etc. There is a separate scullery with a dishwasher, washing machine and also a tumble dryer. The glass back door opens onto the deck area with the outdoor built-in braai and the washing line and the backyard is fully enclosed with gates on both sides.

The Lower Level (Flat)

This self-catering holiday apartment can sleep 2 – 4 guests (2 adults and 2 children) in one bedroom with a double bed as well as a double sleeper couch in the living area. The bedroom has large windows on two sides, one of which is a large sliding glass door opening onto the patio overlooking the ocean. In the room the bed is positioned so that one can lie in bed and stare at the sea – how much better can it get? There is also a bathroom with a shower, toilet as well as a basin.

Then there is an open plan lounge/dining/kitchenette area with a dining table and chairs, a double sleeper couch as well as a flat screen TV. The kitchenette comes with a two-plate stove with oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee maker as well as a kettle. Also crockery, cutlery, cooking and braai utensils, etc. and a scullery area on the other side of the room. This room also has a large window/glass sliding door combination opening onto the patio offering magnificent views of the sea and surrounding areas.

The outdoor built-in braai as well as the washing line is right next to the flat in the enclosed backyard.

Dit is ‘n dubbelverdiepinghuis wat as geheel gehuur kan word of so ook as twee eenhede – elke vlak ‘n eenheid. Daar is ‘n dubbelmotorhuis wat vir die gebruik van huurders beskikbaar is. Die agterplaas is toegemaak vir privaatheid van gaste en so ook vir veiligheid en daar is ‘n hek aan elke kant van die huis.

Die Boonste Vlak

Hierdie selfsorg vakansiehuis kan 6 – 8 mense (6 volwassenes en 2 kinders) huisves in 3 slaapkamers, elk met bedlampies en so ook kaste. Die hoofslaapkamer het ‘n dubbelbed, spieëlkas en so ook ‘n en-suite badkamer. Een muur van die kamer het ‘n groot venster met ‘n glasskuifdeur wat op die balkon uitloop met ‘n grootse uitsig oor die oseaan. Die tweede kamer het 2 enkelbeddens (wat ook as koninginbed opgemaak kan word) en die derde kamer tweelingbeddens en ‘n stapelbed. Hierdie twee kamers deel ‘n badkamer met ‘n bad, stort en so ook ‘n wasbak en daar is ‘n aparte toilet met ‘n handewasbakkie.

Die sitkamer kom met gemaklike stoele and banke, ‘n kaggel en so ook ‘n platskerm TV. (DStv-koppeling is gratis beskikbaar.) ‘n Jong kind kan op die leerbank slaap. Hierdie vertrek het ook ‘n groot venster en glasskuifdeur wat oopmaak op die balkon met tuinmeubels. So teen skemer saans kan die sonderlinge Stilbaai-sonsondergange oor die see van hier af bewonder word. Aan die bopunt van die trappe is ‘n veiligheidshekkie vir die beskerming van jong kinders.

Die eetkamer het ‘n groot tafel en die ingeboude braai is ook daar. Hier is ook so ‘n groot venster en glasskuifdeur na die balkon. Die selfsorgkombuis bied ‘n yskas, vrieskas, elektriese stoof met oond, mikrogolfoond en so ook ‘n ketel. Ook ‘n koffiemaker, broodrooster, breekgoed, messegoed, potte, panne, braaigereedskap en so meer. Daar is ‘n aparte opwasplek met ‘n skottelgoedwasser, wasmasjien en tuimeldroër en die glasagterdeur maak oop op ‘n dekgedeelte. Dit is in die toegemaakte agterplaas waar die buitebraai en so ook die wasgoeddraad is.

Die Onderste Vlak (Woonstel)

Hierdie selfsorg vakansiewoonstel kan 2 – 4 gaste (2 volwassenes en 2 kinders) huisves in een slaapkamer met ‘n dubbelbed en so ook ‘n dubbelslaapbank in die leefarea. Daar is vensters aan twee kante van die kamer waarvan een ‘n groot venster en glasskuifdeur is wat op die stoep uitloop. Die bed is so geplaas dat jy die see kan sien terwyl jy heerlik in die bed lê. Daar is ook ‘n badkamer met ‘n stort, wasbak en so ook ‘n toilet.

Die oopplan leef/eet/kombuisarea het ‘n tafel en stoele, dubbelslaapbank en so ook ‘n platskerm TV. Verder kom die selfsorg-kombuis met ‘n tweeplaat stoof met oond, yskas/vrieskas, mikrogolfoond, koffiemaker en so ook ‘n ketel. Ook breekgoed, messegoed, potte, panne, braaigereedskap en so meer en die opwasplek is aan die ander kant van die vertrek. Hierdie vertrek het ook ‘n yslike venster/glasskuifdeur-kombinasie wat oopmaak op die stoep met sy manjifieke uitsig.

Die buitebraaiplek en so ook die wasgoeddraad is reg langs die vakansie-eenheid in die toegemaakte agterplaas.
