Chandelier Game Lodge and Ostrich Show Farm

The lodge sits on an ostrich show farm where the Garden route meets the Klein Karoo. Where the vegetation is a mix of Cape fynbos, river bushveld as well as the succulent of the Karoo. Large numbers of game and 23 antelope species such as the sable antelope, water-buck, lechwe (which is closely related to the waterbuck), bontebok and kudu are roaming free on the Chandelier Game Lodge.

A unique feature of Chandelier is their luxury, en-suite, tented chalet accommodation of course offering a unique bush experience.

Breakfast is included, but other meals can be taken at the restaurant or guests can cater for themselves.

Wedding venue at the Chandelier Game Lodge and Ostrich Show Farm

The Chandelier wedding chapel is built from wood and boasts a crystal chandelier. It sits under age-old pepper trees in a lovely garden which overlooks a lake with ducks and geese. Guests will sit under the pepper trees while the ceremony is on. While your photos are taken with the bush, wildlife and ostriches in the background, guests receive cocktails and snacks.

Their restaurant can accommodate 140 guests seated around a spacious dance floor. There is also a fully licensed bar to your disposal. They prefer to lay the tables themselves and have their gourmet chef prepares the dishes. The service they offer also includes assistance with all your arrangements which will save you the cost of a wedding planner.

The bridal couple can of course spend the wedding night (and rest of the honeymoon) in one of the log cabins or tented chalets.

Kings Mask Restaurant at the Chandelier Game Lodge and Ostrich Show Farm

The restaurant has an exquisite African atmosphere, can seat 140 guests at a time and also caters for wedding and other functions. Of course they serve South African cuisine and their emphasis is on sublime ostrich and venison dishes. The restaurant overlooks the waterhole where the free-roaming game come to drink their fill.

Guests can enjoy great meals at the Kings Mask Restaurant while staying at the Lodge.

There is a choice of accommodation between tented chalets and log cabins. All units have private bathrooms, towels, toiletries as well as bathrobes. Some units have a well-equipped kitchenette, a seating area as well as a flat screen TV.

Self-catering Log Cabins (3 units)

Luxury Tented Chalets (8 units)

These tented chalets (with electricity) sit on wooden decks in the bush. Each unit has an en-suite bathroom with a corner bath as well as a shower under the stars. It can sleep 2 adults and 2 small children, has cooling fans as well as white linen and covered parking.

There is also a bar fridge, a tea and coffee tray and a kettle, a heater as well as a table and chairs where you can enjoy the view from your private observation deck. Jubilant birdsong will wake you in the morning.

Chandelier Wildplaas en Volstruis Skouplaas

Bed & Ontbyt (B&O) en selfsorg akkommodasie en so ook ‘n bruilofvenue, konferensievenue en restaurant 7 km van Oudtshoorn. Op ‘n volstruis skouplaas in die Klein Karoo. Baie wild en so ook 23 bokspesies, soos die swartwitpens, waterbok, lechwe, bontebok en koedoe loop vry op die wildplaas rond.

Ontbyt word ingesluit, maar ander maaltye kan by die restaurant of deur selfsorg verkry word.

Trouvenue

Die houtkapelletjie met die kristalkandelaar staan onder die horingoue peperbome waaronder die gaste tydens die seremonie sit. Terwyl foto’s geneem word, word die gaste bedien met skemerkelkies en versnaperinge.

Die restaurant kan 140 gaste om die dansvloer inpas. Daar is ook ‘n tenvolle gelisensieerde kroeg. Hulle verkies om self die tafels te dek en dat hulle top sjef die kos voorberei. So ook sluit hulle dienste in hulp met alle reëling. Die bruidspaar kan hulle huweliksnag (en res van die wittebrood) in een van die houthuise of tenthuise deurbring.

Kings Mask Restaurant

Die restaurant het ‘n unieke Afrika atmosfeer. Dit bied ook trouonthale en so ook ander funksies aan van tot 140 mense per geleentheid. Dan bedien hulle Suid-Afrikaanse kossoorte aan met die klem op volstruis en wildsvleis. Gaste op die Wildplaas kan heerlike maaltye by hierdie restaurant op die plaas nuttig.

Daar is ‘n keuse tussen tenthuisies en selfsorg houthuisies. Al die eenhede het privaat badkamers, handdoeke, linne, toiletgoedjies en kamerjasse. Party eenhede het ook goedtoegeruste kombuisies, ‘n leefarea en ‘n platskerm TV.

Selfsorg Houthuisies

Twee van die huisies slaap 4 volwassenes en het lugversorging, gratis WiFi en so ook onderdak parkering. Dit het 2 slaapkamers, elk met 2 enkelbeddens en elektriese komberse. So ook 2 badkamers en die vrylopende wild kan tot by die huisies kom.

Die ander huisie slaap 2 volwassenes en 2 kinders onder 12. Daar is een slaapkamer met ‘n dubbelbed en ‘n stapelbed en so ook 1 badkamer, elektriese komberse en gratis WiFi. Parkering is nie onderdak nie en die wild kan tot by die huisie kom.

Tenthuisies

Die tenthuisies is gebou op houtdekke in die bosse en het elektrisiteit. Dit bied ‘n unieke boservaring waar gaste vanaf die privaatdek kan kyk na die wildlewe. Daar is ‘n en-suite badkamer met ‘n hoekbad en ‘n stort onder die sterre. Dit kan 2 volwassenes en twee klein kindertjies huisves en het waaiers, wit linne en onderdak parkering.

Daar is ‘n kroegyskassie, ‘n tee- en koffiemaak skinkbord, ketel en so ook ‘n tafel en stoele. Soggens sal uitbundige voëlgesang jou wakkermaak.
