De Hoek Mountain Resort

Large self-catering family resort-style accommodation and camping site in the Swartberg Mountains 35 km from Oudtshoorn. On the road to Prince Albert and 5km from the Cango Caves. De Hoek Mountain Resort is one of the Klein Karoo Western Cape Municipal camp sites under the wing of Eden Municipality in Oudtshoorn. A paradise for bird-watchers what with the Black Eagle and many other bird species.

Bring your motor home, your caravan or your tent and enjoy the splendour of the Klein Karoo. Or, if you rather prefer, make use of our self-catering chalets. There is a shop in the resort as well as a swimming pool and kiddies pool, television room, public phones and entertainment in and out of season.

Day visitors are also welcome and there is a Conferencing hall which can be rented for events.

Accommodation at De Hoek Mountain Resort

Chalets

The rustic chalets are well equipped for self-catering and can sleep 4 to 6 people. They have double beds, twin beds or bunker beds and a bathroom with a shower. The kitchen has a fridge, stove, microwave as well as a kettle and there is also a television and a dining table and chairs. They also have an outside braai and parking space right outside.

Camping sites

There are large level grassed camp sites for motor homes, stands for caravans as well as stands for tents. Caravan stands are powered, but the tent stands are non-powered. Of course there are water points near the stands. The ablution blocks are clean and well equipped with toilets, urinals, basins and showers with hot and cold water. Communal freezers and scullery areas are also available.

Dorm Rooms or Youth Hostels

The dorm rooms have bunker beds as well as cupboards, ablution facilities and kitchen facilities with a stove, fridge and scullery.

De Hoek Bergoord

Groot selfsorg familie-vakansieoord en kampeerterrein in die Swartberge, 35km van Oudtshoorn. De Hoek Bergoord staan onder die vlerk van die Eden Munisipaliteit in Oudtshoorn en is ook die tuiste van die swart arend.

Daar is ‘n winkel op die terrein en so ook swembad, televisiekamer, openbare telefone en vermaak binne en buite seisoen. Dagbesoekers is welkom en daar is ook ‘n Konferensiesaal wat gehuur kan word.

Akkommodasie by De Hoek Bergoord

Huisies

Die selfsorg huisies is goed toegerus en kan 4 tot 6 persone huisves. Daar is dubbelbeddens, enkelbeddens of stapelbeddens en so ook ‘n badkamer met ‘n stort. Die kombuis het ‘n yskas, stoof, mikrogolf en ketel en daar is ook ‘n televisie en ‘n eettafel met stoele. So is daar ook ‘n buitebraaiplek en parkering reg by die huisie.

Kampeerplekke

Daar is groot gelyke graskampplekke vir mobiele huise, karavane en so ook tente. Karavaanstaanplekke het krag maar nie die tentstaanplekke nie. Daar is ook waterpunte naby die staanplekke. Die ablusieblokke is skoon en goed toegerus met toilette, urinale, wasbakke en storte met warm en koue water. So is daar ook gemeenskaplike vrieskaste en opwasplekke beskikbaar.

Slaapsale of Jeughostels

Die slaapsale het stapelbeddens en so ook kaste, ablusiegeriewe en kombuisgeriewe met ‘n stoof, yskas en opwasplek.
