Frendz Restaurant, Coffee Shop & Bakery opened their doors on 1 October 2017 and has since become a hit in Plettenberg Bay. The high walls without ceilings, wooden counters, tables and chairs create a feel of wide open uncluttered space. Lamp shades hanging from the rafters resemble the wooden boxes in which tomatoes are packed for the market. Some of the high walls are raw brick while others are plastered and painted which, together with the rest establish a relaxed and contented atmosphere.
There is also a corner where newspapers of the day can be read. Some tables and chairs are outside for those who prefer to sit outside. An interesting jungle gym kind of thing is available with a large piece of fake grass around it, enclosed by a picket fence.

The menu offers hearty meals such as chicken schnitzel, lamb curry and venison as well as grills, salads and desserts. They serve house made burgers, steaks, seafood, toasties and also international delights, all with the same ease. Try any of their breakfasts such as the budget breakfast, French toast, mince on toast or maybe a low carb breakfast. They also serve a gluten free low carb breakfast.
From their Bakery comes house made croissants, gluten free pizza bases, gluten and egg free seed loaves as well as other bread. They take bread orders due to popular demand. You simply have to try their lasagne, bobotie, milk tart, crepes and also pancakes and home made lemon meringue.
Then there are the hot drinks such as their divine coffee and cappuccino with the beautiful patterns in the foam served in clear glass cups. Also their cold drinks such as mega as well as plain milkshakes, bubble tea, fresh veggie and carrot juice.
