Comfortable self-catering holiday accommodation in the Lappiesbaai Resort in Still Bay East. A popular coastal holiday destination in the Western Cape, South Africa along the Garden Route with its unique fynbos vegetation. Situated behind the first dune from the sea and about 200 m from the Lappiesbaai blue flag beach. The town of Still Bay is huddled around the Goukou River mouth into the Indian Ocean thus offering a large variety of water related activities.

The houses in the Lappiesbaai Resort are built in a circle around a huge lawn where children can safely play the day away. Simply walk over the dune and there is the wide white sand beach where one can swim, fish, stroll or jog, and so on. Two hundred metres from the nearest restaurant at the Lappiesbaai Beach, this holiday house, sleeping 9 people, is perfect for your needs. The house is also fitted with a security alarm system from a very alert armed response unit in Still Bay.

Accommodation at Lappiesbaai 16 Stilbaai

This well situated comfortable self-catering holiday accommodation can sleep 9 guests in 4 bedrooms. Some rooms are inside the house, while others are in a part which was built on at a later stage. The built-on section cannot be entered from inside the house, but from an entrance a couple of meters from the back door into the kitchen.

The Original House – Sleeps 4

The original house consists of 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with 2 single beds. Both rooms have cupboards, bed lamps/reading lamps as well as mirrors. There is one bathroom with a bath and a shower over the bath, a toilet and basin and another basin separate from the bathroom. Bath towels and bed linen are provided.

Still in the original house is a living/dining area with 2 couches and a dining table and chairs opening onto the patio. A plastic table and chairs as well as canvas camping chairs are available. There is a flat-screen TV with a DStv decoder which can be activated for your stay at your cost. Furthermore there is a radio/CD combination, a DVD player as well as some games at your disposal. This room has ‘n high ceiling with open rafters which creates a feeling of space.

The kitchen has a stable door which is a common feature in Still Bay what with the many non-human individuals creeping around. Like snakes, frogs, craps, etc., etc…. The stable door allows you to keep the bottom part closed and the top part open in summer to allow the cool breeze in. There is a serving hatch between the kitchen and the dining area for your comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering with a 3-plate stove with oven, fridge/freezer as well as a microwave oven. Also a kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery cooking pots and pans, as well as an electric frying pan.

Built-on Area – Sleeps 5

Entrance to this area is outside the main house. The built-on area offers another 2 bedrooms with built-in cupboards and bed lamps. One bedroom has 2 single beds while the other room has 3 single beds and a ceiling fan. There is a tallish mirror in the little passage and also a bar-fridge and a washing machine. This area has its own modern bathroom with a spacious shower, toilet and basin.

Laundry facilities in the form of a washing machine, iron and ironing board as well as a washing line behind the house are available. Also drying racks for clothing. In addition there is an outdoor fireplace just off the patio as well as the necessary braai utensils for the inevitable braai. Even if it is the kids frying marshmallows!

Die oorspronklike deel van die huis bestaan uit 2 slaapkamers, een met ‘n dubbelbed en die ander met 2 enkelbeddens. Beide kamers het kaste en so ook bedlampies en spieëls. Daar is een badkamer met ‘n bad en so ook ‘n stort bo-oor die bad, ‘n toilet en wasbak. Net buite die badkamer is nog ‘n wasbak vir gaste. Badhanddoeke en so ook bedlinne word voorsien.

Daar is verder ‘n leef-/eetruimte met 2 rusbanke, ‘n eettafel en so ook stoele wat uitloop op ‘n onderdak stoep. ‘n Plastiese tafel en stoele en so ook seil kampstoele is ook beskikbaar. Verder is daar ‘n platskerm TV met ‘n DStv-dekodeerder wat op jou eie koste geaktiveer kan word. So ook is daar ‘n radio/CD-kombinasie, DVD-speler en ‘n klompie speletjies tot jou beskikking.

Die kombuis het ‘n staldeur na buite, ‘n algemene ding in Stilbaai. In die somermaande hou mense graag die bo-deur oop om so die koel seebriesie in te laat en die onderdeur toe om die ongewensde spesies buite te hou. Daar is ‘n bedieningsluik tussen die kombuis en die eetgedeelte. Die kombuis is ten volle toegerus vir selfsorg met ‘n 3-plaat stoof met oond, yskas/vrieskas en so ook ‘n mikrogolf. Ook ‘n ketel, broodrooster, elektriese braaipan, potte en panne, breekgoed en so ook messegoed.

Een kamer het 2 enkelbeddens en die ander een het 3 enkelbeddens en so ook ‘n dakwaaier. In die ingangsgedeelte is ‘n wasmasjien en ‘n kroegyskassie. Hierdie gedeelte het ‘n moderne badkamer met ‘n ruim stort, wasbak en toilet.

Wasgoedgeriewe is beskikbaar in die vorm van ‘n wasmasjien, yster, strykplank, wasgoeddraad en so ook opvoubare droograkke. Daar is ‘n vuurmaakplek voor die stoep met braaigereedskap tot jou beskikking. So is daar ook ‘n warm buitestort om die sand af te was voor jy in die huis ingaan. Langs die huis is ‘n langwerpige afdak waaronder twee voertuie agtermekaar kan parkeer.
