Self-catering holiday accommodation for 6 – 8 in a neat, comfortable house in Jongensfontein. Noorkapper 7 is located within a brisk walking distance from the sea as well as a takeaway restaurant and small shop. Jongensfontein is a picture pretty coastal holiday town close to Stilbaai, though, which offers many shops and all other amenities you might need. In the Hessequa area of the scenic Garden Route of the Western Cape, South Africa.

Noorkapper Avenue is named after the Southern Right whale (Noorkapper in Afrikaans) which visits these waters annually during winter months. (June to October) While gazing at the ocean from the balcony, you might spot some whales having fun and ‘spouting water’ as they breathe. Right there in front of the house is also a popular surfing spot where you can watch surfers doing what surfers do best.

The house is elegantly decorated in a minimalist way, no cluttering, but everything you might need is right there. Colours blend in with each other and the ample use of white adds to the feel of space while at the same time is soothing to the eye.

There are 4 lock-up garages for the safe keeping of vehicles. And equally important, for the protection of your vehicle/s against the salty sea wind, sun and occasional mist or rain. Unfortunately no pets are allowed since the property is completely unsuitable for pets. The house is completely suitable, though, for wheelchairs.

This comfortable, well placed holiday home can accommodate 6 to 8 guests at a time.

Bedrooms

There are 3 bedrooms. The main bedroom opens onto the balcony overlooking the ocean and has a queen-size bed and flat screen TV. Also a private bathroom sporting a shower, bath, toilet and two basins. One of the remaining rooms comes with a king-size bed and also opens onto the balcony. The other room offers a queen-size bed as well as a bunk bed, ideal for children. The second shared bathroom has a shower, toilet and a basin. Linen, as well as bath towels are provided, but you are kindly requested to bring your own beach towels.

Living Area

Then there is a spacious open plan living/dining and kitchen area. The living area has a ceiling fan, comfortable seating, flat screen TV with DStv (selected channels) as well as an indoor fireplace/braai. The dining area has a square dining table with 8 chairs. This area has large gliding glass doors opening onto the balcony offering a stunning view of the sea. A portable braai/barbecue is available for enjoying a relaxing braai and sun-downer while gazing at the ever moving ocean.

Kitchen

The fully equipped for self-catering kitchen offers items such as a stove with oven, two plate gas hob, and microwave oven. Also a matching upright fridge and freezer, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery as well as cooking utensils, pots and pans, etc.

This self-catering holiday house also includes laundry facilities such as a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron as well as an ironing board.

At the back of the house and more protected from the wind is a covered patio where guests can also enjoy a braai.

Visit the Jongensgat Private Nature Reserve as well as the Blombos Nature Reserve.

Selfsorg vakansieverblyf vir so 6 – 8 persone in ‘n netjiese, gerieflike huis in Jongensfontein. Die huis is binne flink loopafstand van die see en so ook ‘n restaurant met wegneemetes en ‘n kleinerige winkel. Stilbaai is slegs so 9 km weg waar baie winkels en ander soorte besighede, asook dokters en apteke beskikbaar is.

Noorkapper is die naam van die walvisse wat gedurende die winter hierdie waters besoek. Gedurende daardie maande (Junie tot so Oktober) kan jy dalk van hulle sien wanneer hulle asem uitblaas. Dit lyk kompleet asof hulle ‘fonteintjies’ blaas.

Daar is 4 toesluitmotorhuise vir die gebruik van gaste beskikbaar. Dit hou nie net jou voetuig veilig nie, maar beskerm jou voertuig teen die sout seewind, son, die mis en toevallige reënbuitjie. Troeteldiere word ongelukkig nie toegelaat nie aangesien die perseel heeltemal ongeskik is vir troeteldiere. Die huis is wel geskik vir rolstoele.

Dan is daar ‘n groot oopplan leef/eet en kombuisruimte. Die leefarea het ‘n dakwaaier, gemaklike sitplek, platskerm TV met DStv (geselekteerde kanale) en so ook ‘n binnebraai/kaggel. Die eetgedeelte het ‘n vierkantige eettafel met 8 stoele. Daar is groot glasskuifdeure wat oopmaak op die balkon met ‘n treffende uitsig op die see. Hier kan jy ‘n ontspannende braai geniet met ‘n lang drankie terwyl jy oor die immerbewegende see staar.

Kombuis

Die kombuis is ten volle toegerus vir selfsorg met items soos ‘n stoof met oond, tweeplaat gasbrander en mikrogolfoond. Ook ‘n bypassende yskas en vrieskas, ketel, broodrooster, breekgoed, messegoed, potte en panne, en so meer.
