The Press Room Café is a Mediterranean style restaurant situated amongst the olive groves on the Olyven Houdt Olive Farm near Still Bay. In the Goukou Valley, Hessequa area along the Garden Route in the Western Cape. Offering breakfast and lunch as well as evening functions and events by appointment only. This stylish à la carte restaurant has a distinct old French Provence ambience. (Provence is a region in south-eastern France known for its olive groves, lavender fields, vineyards and pine forests) This is also a wonderful venue for unforgettable weddings and other special functions.
They also produce award-winning cold pressed olive oil as well as a range of olive products. Olives are high in vitamin E and other antioxidants, are good for the heart and are also one of the key components of the Mediterranean diet. No wonder the ancient symbolic meaning of the olive tree is ‘Good luck and protection’.

This restaurant or coffee shop offers a small seasonal menu of Mediterranean style food freshly prepared daily. Since they are licensed, you can order from their select list of locally sourced wines and boutique style liqueurs.
They offer various creative breakfast choices which they serve until 11:00. For lunch they specialise in gourmet, delicious and innovative thin base pizzas and breads. The wood fired pizzas come with a real South African flair with creative names such as Ali Baba, Zorba, Botticelli, Don Quixote, etc. They also serve gourmet burgers on freshly baked buns with some potato wedges.
Their delicious summer salads are served with toasted seeds and of course you can add some of their award-winning olive oil.
