With its central location The Idle Monkey is an ideal place to base yourselves while you and your family explore the many attractions the Garden Route has to offer. Fill your days enjoying the many activities Knysna has to offer, then in the evening, take a leisurely stroll down waterfront drive (opposite us) and you’re in the Waterfront with its exciting shops and restaurants. If you plan to eat at the Waterfront make sure you book early as it gets very full during busy periods, we will be pleased to assist you with this if needed.

Being located next to the main road means you are quickly on your way to wherever you are going, The Idle Monkey is within an hour of most of the Garden Routes attractions be it, Titsikama National Park, bungee jumping, whale watching, visiting the snakes, monkey, big cats and birds, a safari in an open safari car or on horse back, cycling, walking, fishing, sailing, surfing, running or even taking a spectacular drive through some of the most scenic passes you will see. We are also located close to countless golf courses and welcome enquiries from golf clubs or golfing syndicates arranging golfing holidays.
