This unique and interesting Hotel sits on the Thesen Island in the Knysna lagoon, in a Blue Flag Marina. It used to be a boat building shed and was cleverly and creatively refurbished into the exiting accommodation it is now. The Hotel holds a 4 star grading from the Tourism Grading Council of South Africa.

There is a large atrium where guests can sit comfortably to relax, read, or watch TV while sipping a drink from the service bar of course open for guests. The atrium opens up onto an area with a splash pool and also sun loungers. Here guests can enjoy the magnificent view over the Knysna lagoon as well as the hills in the background.

For some room categories a breakfast voucher for one of four restaurants is included. These restaurants are Ile de Pain, Island Café, Cafe Mario as well as Mon Petit Pain.
