Walter’s Place Guest House is a white double storey thatch roof house with a balcony along the front of the top floor where the owner lives. Along the ground level and underneath the balcony is a spacious veranda. A Weber braai is available for guests to use on the beautiful green lawn in front of the rooms. Jongensfontein

Jongensfontein is a very pretty little coastal town about 10 km from Stilbaai in the Hessequa area of the Garden Route. The Garden Route is a beautiful portion of the Western Cape Province of South Africa harbouring unique fynbos flora as well as various indigenous fauna.

The licensed restaurant, Drie Pikkewyne, is about 130 m from Walter’sPlace guest-house, a very short walking distance of about a block down the same street. All the way on the edge of the beach with the sun on your skin and the droning of the waves in your ears.

Two of the rooms are more or less the same in size, one offering a bath while the other has a shower. The third room, however, is more spacious, offering a fair living space apart from the kitchenette and sleeping area. It also includes a fireplace for those cold winter’s nights.

• Endless opportunities for nature lovers such as hiking trails, cycling, bird watching, dolphin watching and whale watching during the season (June to November). Try the ±8 km Southern Right Whale Hiking trail between Stilbaai and Jongensfontein.
• Water activities such as rock fishing, deep sea fishing, swimming, sunbathing and surfing as well as kayaking. Also scuba diving, sail surfing, stand-up paddling and river cruises on the Goukou River at Still Bay. Jongensfontein is well-known among surfers.
• Although the beach at Jongensfontein is very rocky (making it a fisherman’s paradise) there is a lovely tidal pool where people like to cool off.
• You can participate in sport activities like golf, bowls, tennis as well as driving the 4×4 routes with the family.

Walter’s Place is ‘n wit dubbelverdieping grasdakhuis. Die eienaar van die huis woon op die boonste vlak terwyl die kamers op die onderste vlak is. Die stoep is onderdak en kan toegemaak word om wind en reën uit te hou wanneer nodig.

Jongensfontein is ‘n prentjiemooie klein kusdorpie omtrent 10 km van Stilbaai af in die Hessequagebied van die Tuinroete. Die Tuinroete is ‘n pragtige gedeelte in die Wes-Kaap Provinsie in Suid-Afrika, bekend vir sy unieke fynbos en so ook inheemse wildlewe.
