Looking for a Farm Stay where you can enjoy freshly picked organic vegetables, eggs, freshly baked farm bread and other farm produce? Welcome to Wild Olive Farm, “A Little Piece of Heaven” on the river in the Goukou River Valley. We are near Still Bay on the Garden Route, Western Cape, South Africa.

Wild Olive Guest Farm is located in the Western Cape about 300 kilometres from Cape Town near Still Bay.Here at The Explorers Garden Route. Situated on one of the most tranquil rivers in the Western Cape, we offer upmarket and comfortable farm accommodation. With the river being ideal for swimming, canoeing and skiing. Our back lands are rich in fynbos and are perfect for hiking and bird watching alike. While our two spring-fed dams tucked into the hills are a special place to escape for solitude and ultimate peace and quiet.

Alternatively, spend a lazy day alongside the river on the deck under an ancient milk wood tree.  Or also enjoy swimming and boating from our private jetty. Or if you love your birding as much as we do, have fun ticking off as many of the 250 species as you can during your stay…

Sunbird and Hoopoe Chalets

Overlooking the Goukou River and our olive grove, and nestled amongst milkwood trees. These wooden, open plan chalets are fully equipped for self-catering ease.

A little home from home sleeping two to four people, enjoy these cosy chalets, each with its own fireplace for those chilly, star-filled winter nights.

Each chalet has a private outdoor braai area with wood provided to get your braai started. There is deliberately no television provided as we believe guests should rather enjoy the peace and tranquility of this magical area….

Apple Tree Cottage

Set back from the river beside an ancient milkwood tree, Apple Tree Cottage is an historic two bedroomed dwelling accommodating four people – perfect for those looking for tranquility in nature.

This little cottage also has an indoor fire place for those winter months and an outdoor braai area.

Enjoy a hot outdoor shower under the milkwood tree while looking out over the lovely garden…
