Baleia Wines MTB Challenge & Adventure Trail Run

 

Welcome to the third Baleia Wines Mountain Bike race on Saturday, 8 September 2018.

The third Baleia Wines MTB & Adventure Trail Run will take place at the Baleia Wines winery just off the N2 east of Riversdale in the Western Cape, a stone’s throw from Mossel Bay in the Garden Route.

Below is an idea of what you can expect.

This was the 2017 Race Routes.

MTB 20km
The 20km route will mostly consist of single track and Jeep track with an altitude gain of almost 320m.

There will be 1 water point on the route.

MTB 40km

The 40km route will consist of 60% flowing gravel road and 40% Jeep and single track of a total altitude gain of 600m.

There will be 3 water points (10km, 21km and 30km) on the route.

MTB 88km

The 88km route will consist of mostly gravel roads (70%) with about 30% single and Jeep tracks with a total altitude gain of 1060m.

There will be 5 water points at 10km, 30km, 50km, 65km and 78km.

Adventure Trail Run

A new and exciting addition will be an Adventure Trail Run of 12km that will be taking place on the same day. The start and finish of the trail run will also be at Baleia Wines.

Come and discover the great wines produced in the Hessequa area and tackle any of the routes of the Baleia Wines MTB Challenge & Adventure Trail Run.

Die tweede Baleia Wines Bergfiets Wedren buite Riversdal in die Wes-Kaap vind plaas op 9 September 2017. Daar is ‘n keuse tussen drie roetes: 20 km, 40km en 88km.

Vanjaar is daar ‘n opwindende byvoeging tot hierdie uitdaging, naamlik ‘n 12km Avontuur Veldwedloop op diesefde dag, dieselfde plek.
