Witsand Caravan Park – Middle Camp

This Hessequa municipal camp sits on the eastern end of Witsand, right on the beach. It offers amazing fishing opportunities from the sand/beach as well as the rocks. There is also a little tidal pool for swimming and the Blue Flag beach is within walking distance from there.

Furthermore you can stroll along for many kilometres towards the east. Thus making this an ideal retreat if you want to escape from the usual turmoil and rush of life for a while. This experience could recharge those dangerously flat batteries again…

Of course one of the major attractions is the whales during winter. The Southern Right Whales flock to St. Sebastian Bay (which is in front of the camp-site) each year from July to November. There they calve in the calm waters thus providing breathtaking land-based viewing.

Hierdie Hessequa munisipale kampterrein is aan die oostelike end van Witsand, op die strand.Dit bied wonderike visvanggeleenthede vanaf die sand/strand of vanaf die rotse. Daar is ook ‘n klein getypoeletjie en die blouvlagstrand is binne loopafstand daarvandaan.

Dan is daar die noorkapper-walvisse in die winter wat hierheen kom om te kalf. So, kom tussen Julie-Oktober om hierdie groot visse te sien baljaar in die golwe.
