Die Handelshuis Gift Shop / Geskenkewinkel

A feast of retro memorabilia! Coffee shop, restaurant, B&B & gift-shop in Calitzdorp’s original (c.1890) trading store. Enjoy our homemade Karoo Lamb pies coupled with excellent coffees. Also freshly baked cakes, light meals, garden salads as well as daily specials. Evening specialities include lamb shank and also superb fillet steaks. We are of course licensed and pet-friendly.

Die Handelshuis Guest House is, in fact a historic building built in the late 1800s in the charming village centre of Calitzdorp. The building houses a coffee shop, a clothing store, a gift shop as well as comfortable accommodation for a small family.

The Green Room has a spacious open-plan design which on the whole can accommodate three people. The room has an en-suite bathroom and also a private balcony leading out into the treetops. There is of course, safe parking behind large gates and guests can enjoy breakfast in our charming restaurant.

Calitzdorp is a small typical Karoo town on Route 62. It offers many historical sites and a museum for guests to explore. Guests can enjoy horse riding, bird-watching and hiking in the nearby reserves.

Die Handelshuis beskik oor ‘n klerewinkel, ‘n koffiewinkel sowel as ‘n geskenkewinkel. Ons verskaf ook Bed en ontbyt verblyf. (B&B). Dis ‘n oopplan-ontwerp waar drie persone kan slaap. Met ‘n eie badkamer en ook ‘n privaat balkon. Die Handelshuis Restaurant verskaf etes soos lamskenkels en puik biefstukke.
