Lettie Steyn
Artist and Photographer in Jongensfontein, the quaint little seaside village 10km from Stilbaai along the Garden Route in the Western Cape. She is inspired by the beauty of nature as well as old buildings, ruins and weathered objects for her abstract paintings and photography. Lettie always had a passion for oil paintings and also takes great pleasure in visiting art galleries. In 2004 she decided to further pursue her interest in art as well as photography.
She likes working with oil paint which allows richer, more vivid colours and loves to paint ocean scenes, landscapes as well as abstract pictures. Living in Jongensfontein, she is, of course, surrounded by the finest examples of all of these in abundance.
Lettie Steyn also creates items for art markets, etc. with prints of her work on them such as coffee mugs and key-rings. Also greeting cards, magnets, notebooks and stickers with Still Bay and Jongensfontein scenes. These could make perfect gift ideas or souvenirs.
