Accommodation consists of six en-suite rooms in the main house as well as a self catering loft lodge. The loft has two bedrooms, each with a private bath room as well as an open plan kitchen/ dining area. All rooms have TV and tea and coffee making facilities.

The house is in the best possible position being the corner plot overlooking both the mouth of the Gouritz River and the Ocean. From a pathway at the bottom of the garden you can stroll through the dunes directly onto the beach and to the river. Because Gourtizmond is such a quiet place the wildlife abounds, buck, tortoise, hares and bird life. The birds love to be fed and beware, once you start feeding them they will return and call for food.

The B&B is a converted Cape Farmhouse and a typical South African/Colonial working residence. We love having guests from all over the world at our place and pride ourselves in reasonable, comfortable accommodation at non-tourist prices, away from it all. We are 52 kilometers drive from Mosselbay, with a Casino, world-class golf course and beaches, among other tourist attractions.

Our story begins with a young girl’s dream of something magical. The tale of two little girls growing up on a farm with a broad imagination. Every so often their mother will send her daughters into the ‘forest’ surrounding the Cape Dutch farm house, telling them to have a picnic and wait for the fairies to join them.
